Help"!~!~!
Hi All!, I'm a new owner, Just purchased a 1980 ...CorVette Coupe and am trying to gather information on it. Bought it for $2000,He, he, he, Nope!~!~ Didn't steal it, but I'm told I stole it!` Whats all this c-4, c-5 Stuff?/ how do I tell what I have?? It runs good, body's pretty fair, could use better interior door panels. Any Idea where I can go for parts?/ Thanks for any replies. SSNUFFY from Minnesota

Welcome to the Forum, but you should post this in the C4 section. C4's are 83-96; C5's are 97-??, depending on when the C6 is released.
OOPPSS I should not be online when I am tired...I meant C3 section!!!!     Good Night!!!

Head on over to the C3 section. You will find hundreds of owners of similar vettes over there. Go to the "Select Theme" pull down menu at the top right of the page and look for C3.
Welcome to Vette Ownership...Congrats!

Welcome to the forum. The C# is the generation of the car. You have a C3.
The 5 generations of Corvette:
C1- '53-'62
C2- '63-'67
C3- '68-'82
C4- '84-'96 (there was no 83 corvette)
C5- '97-current

Welcome to the forum. As others have mentioned, head on over to the C3 section.
As an owner of both a C5 and a C3, I'll see ya there.
Also, check out the "Search" page. You can search for just about anything and get the past experiences of all the folks. Very informative. Again, welcome.

Welcome aboard SSNUFFY
I see you made it to the C3 section. I was in the same situation as you about a year ago and have learned alot here. This is the best place you could have ever found as a new vette owner. As far as recommending parts suppliers, that is going to be something you will have to decide on yourself but there are many. I have used several and will give you they're websites. Good luck
Parts
http://www.riksvet.com/
http://store.yahoo.com/zipproducts/index.html
http://www.corvette-rubber.com/
http://www.vettebrakes.com/
http://www.vettenet.org/vetpart.html[/URL]
Also don't forget that advance still sells some things you wouldn't think they would have as long as you'r not planning on keeping her original

This is just to get you started . Keep on looking and I'm sure others will give you more places and sites.
Just a word of cation. This place is sooooo addicting you can actually spend more time here than working on your new found love so be carefull.
You can check in any time you like but you can never leave
