Default Looking at 70 LT-1

Not for me, I wish I was looking for me but I just bought a house so no big purchases for a bit. This one is for my Uncle. Anyway he is looking for his first vette and he wanted something special, and I figured this would fit the bill. Are there anything in particular that I need to look for in this LT-1 that would be particular to this car, intake castings and stuff like that. It should have a rear swaybar if I remember correctly as well? along with the BB u-joint caps? Are there any real hard to find parts particular to the LT-1's that I should know about? I'm sure you guys and gals can help me out, I just want to go in prepaired when I look this vette over.

Thanks

There are several items, including specific parts like the crab and intake, but the tach is a 6500 redline, no fuel return line to the tank, no radiator expansion tank to start.

Alternator - very hard to find and very valuable #1100884, 61A

Holler if help is needed.

70s didn't have rear sway bar, no f-41 suspension package available that year according to most experts,71-72 would have if F-41 suspension. :D

Do you have the NCRS Tech Info & Judging Guide for 70-72? It's got TONS of information. You will also find the major component numbers listed on the '70 Registry website. There are photo examples of various items such as how to tell original carpets, photos of original documentation. The LT-1 in 1970 should also have the AIR pump system. Good Luck. The archives over at http://www.ncrs.org will also have a whole lot of information too. ~Juliet

My 72 did not have the F41 suspension. No rear sway wimpy front sway bar. The ZR1 had the F41 suspension but not standard LT1 cars.
