If you're not in a big rush, I can snail-mail you (probably take a few day) a May 1999 Corvette Fever article on carpet replacement.

I did mine a while back...biggest thing I had trouble with was getting it tight on the wall behind the seats. I didn't want to glue it down in case I needed to pull it up for something. I would say that's the trickiest area. Just pull it tight and maybe glue only the edges, that way if you do need to get back under it again you won't have too much trouble.

Don't be intimidated...it wasn't a big deal.

My only suggestion is to install a heat shield before you put the carpet down. It really helped in mine to solve the heat problem. :steering:

In addition to the previous posts, when you remove the old stuff save it as a guide. Also make sure the new carpet is warm, it isn't very plyable when cold.
A trick I learned is after you remove the old carpet re-install any bolts or screws that have to go thru the carpet......It makes the holes much easier to find when something is sticking out. Have fun :yesnod:

Be sure to keep the old pcs around to use as templates because you will have to do some trimming. My biggest mistake was gutting the interior about a month before putting it all back together and throwing out the old carpet. The measure, guess and cut method doesn't yield the best results.
