Default Poly Bushing Which assembly lube ?

I am in the middle of installing my new poly control arm bushings. My friends at Vette Brakes did not ship any lube w/ my bushings. What should i use ? the guys are coming over tomorrow night to help and I don't have time for mail order.

The guys at Guldstrand recommended Marine Grease, available at boating stores.

Yes, make sure you get the right stuff, autoparts stores sell what they call Marine Lubricant, but it isn't the same thing. The stuff you want is much stickier and is almost impossible to wash off unless you use very strong detergent and hot water. Some people call it "whale snot" :D
Go to a marine products store or a place that repairs boat engines, they should be able to point you in the right direction.

:iagree: use the marine grease. Here's a tip. Ya know those small bolts at each end of the CA shafts? Clean those bolt holes & threads ... and the bolts' threads REALLY good ... do what you have to to keep assembly grease out of em. Then reassemble with some Loctite. The old rubber bushings gave you more backup to torque against ... doesn't work exactly the same w/ poly. Stay clean & Loctite ... you'll be happier.

Yep, use lots of the whale snot on the bushings, and use lock-tite on clean and dry control arm bolts to keep them tight.

VERY important. I didn't put any locktite on teh control arm bolts and sure enough after a couple weeks, one of them was finger loose!

Very good advice.
