OUR CORVETTE HERITAGE:
I know you'll agree that keeping our Corvette heritage alive is important to the hobby. As new owners come on board, I'll bet there's a lot about Corvettes that they don't know.
The OUR CORVETTE HERITAGE series of threads is an attempt to bring us all up to speed or remind us about the history and development of our favourite car.

For the 55th in this series of threads, here's a great story on the 1968 L-88 "Mulsanne Monster".
"With gigantic, sewer pipes running down either side of the L-88, this Vette's sound is big, mean and nasty. With each jab of the accelerator pedal the car lets out a roar that somehow grabs you deep down in some dark, primordial part of your soul and makes you want to scream like an ape, "Whoooa! Whoooa! Whooaaa!". You may think I'm kidding, but people who have driven big block V-8 racecars, know what I'm talking about. It's pure, raw, visceral power...and it's intoxicating."
This article appeared in a recent issue of Vintage Racecar and was sent along by Chuck Harmon.
Enjoy!

Another piece of literature that leaves me drooling
Sounds like quite the ride, 2.96 rear gears, 1100# front springs. If that lottery ticket had just found it's way here instead of West Virginia :steering:
