Where can I get a universal fuse panel??
I'm planning to replace my fuse panel on my 68.. I want to go with a aftermarket style fuse panel - similar to the one that Painless Wiring offers... However - those cost close to $90... I'm sure that you can find fuse panels for much less... Does anyone know where I can get one??

Years ago i had to replace my whole fuse panel because of some challenged mechanics melted it down. I just called up the local AC Delco place and they had my 79 style pluggin square lug fuse panel in stock. They even put it in for a total of $200 and I sent the bill to the moron shop!

Try Speedway Motors. Sorry I can't provide the phone number right now. My wife organized my catalogue into oblivion again, and I'll probably have to wait until they send me another one. They're in Nebraska though, and maybe you can do an internet search.

Try Graingers or McMaster-Carr they have pretty extensive catalogs and web-pages. Don't forget your friendly marine supply house. Of course I've found few things inexpensive on boats, but they do have good STUFF.
Good luck,

Oliver, I'm re-wiring my '68 from nose to tail. '68 wiring harnesses has cause more Vettes to burn down than any other year. I'm going with the painless wiring kit for $345. I know it's a lot more than you want to spend, but I'd thought I pass it along.
