Booked Hotel for Carlisle Today...
And as usual it was not easy finding one, even at this early date. I swear people have lifetime reservations in some hotels and pass those to the next generation in their wills ;) . In any case I found a reasonably priced Inn 10 miles east of the fairgrounds and I am content with that. BTW the dates are August 22-24. Hope to see some Forum people that weekend.

Sorry, can't make it, but I did book my reservations for the Black Hills Corvette Classic (which is in the middle of July) at the end of last July, and it was already hard to find a room then. But it's a nice hotel, and now that I'm in I can pass it on to my next of kin.

Justin,
I am not kidding ;) . Just try to find a good hotel/motel around Carlisle for August 22-24. For those who intend to go, book now.......

I will probably sleep in my car across the street from the fairgrounds in the 5 dollar parking offered by the fire department. Its what I did this year

As soon As I can get a room I am going to reserve a spot and see if someone will bring some chairs for a place for the corvette forum to meet and rest.

The Wife and I go for clean, modest and affordable accommodations. Here is where I booked today; some 10 miles away.

You are fortunate. I have to travel 600 miles.
When you go to Carlisle, make sure you stop at the CCDV tent. The Corvette Club of Delaware Valley rents a space/tent on the grounds. Stop in and say Hi! :seeya
they do have Corvette parking at Carlisle. just make sure you get there early. It does fill up.

Thanks for the offer! I will certainly drop by. I am just north of Landsdowne in Canada's Capital City. Carlisle is about 400 miles south. So with the border crossing and comfort breaks it is an 8-9 hour trip. I don't know if my 1979, or my back, will go that far but I am thinking of trying it in 2003.

Joe,
I don't carry wallpaper in my car to complete construction jobs in hotel bathrooms ;) . And "overlooking the river" normally does not include a view of Al's Used Car Lot and a railway freight yard.
You know I never had the film developed of that fellow that smashed his black 1973 into the guard rail. That was that fine-looking car with the one-piece front end. What a shame.

You had wallpaper issues.
Frank(NJ74stingray) did some bathroom plumbing!
That was a nice vette.Loved the gauges.
I believe his steering let go and he hit a guard rail or cement wall.

The idler arm pulled out of the frame. See my thread on frame rust. You have to watch these cars. Pretty paint jobs is not the whole story!
