Hi guy, Yes it is possible to do and not really that hard if you have fiberglass skills. I had an article from a Corvette magazine at one time showing such a project.
The car in the article was a '78 - '82 car that had been bumped in both ends during an accident. A front cap was available and put on the front and so the guy put a rear taillight section on as well. It really looked good with the big back window and the chrome bumpers.
I wish you hadn't brought this up, kinda makes me want one too.

thanks! will the 78 pace car spoliers fit on the earlier cars then? (or maybe c3s just don't picture well and I need to see a 74-79 in person)
