Dynomax Boss turbo vs. Super turbo
Other than price, what's the difference? At that price...the Boss turbo looks great, but is it louder than the Super turbo??? I would like the quieter of the two!

You may want to try Flowmaster 50s not extremely loud but sound good and you don't have the resonance sound in the cabin like you would with 40s. just a thought-for me I don't want something that is extremely loud but desire a solid rumble sound with flow through.

I have Flowmaster 40's now, but WAAAYYY too loud. Ultraflows @ $100 each!! How do they compare regarding "sound": Boss, Super, and Ultra?? Price is $17, $32, and $100 respectively. :steering:

I've got Super Turbos, and have had them for a couple of years and I really like the sound with my 2 1/2" true dual exhaust. Sound great, not too loud, but they do bark a little when you get on it..........Am not familiar with the Boss Turbos.

I've got the ultra flows , and I was a little nervous that I would not be able to hear my new radio, but they are not bad , imho not any louder than flowmasters (maybe more quiet), but I haven't done a side by side test yet.

Is it safe to say that the Ultraflows are louder than the Superturbos?? If so, I'm going with the Superturbos!! Icing on this cake is that the Superturbos flow better than the Flowmaster 40's!!

Re: Dynomax Boss turbo vs. Super turbo (72Shark)
After some off-line discussions, I've decided to go with the Superturbos. I'll record some sound bytes of the FM40's and then the Superturbos for forum members. Y'all just need to help me "post" them, since I'm not a PC jockey. Thanks for the advice, the Archive Search really landed a truckload of helpful comments!

Sounds like you've made up your mine and just wanted to add my 2 cents.
I have the super turbo and love them, get many complients on the sound. The shop that installed them run them on prostock at the drag trip and cliam they don't use any time compared to running striaght pipes.
They sound better the more you drive them. ;)

Re: Dynomax Boss turbo vs. Super turbo (72Shark)
One more thought here. The Ultraflows are expensive because they are polished stainless. They look like chrome mufflers and sound great and they won't rust out.....ever. If you look in one end you can see out the other so there are no restrictions inside. At idle they are about as loud as stock mufflers. At cruise you can carry on a conversation and listen to the radio. When you take her over 2500 rpm or if you punch it from idle they sound like old glasspacks  and make a nice deep rapping sound that gets a lot of attention. I have a resonance from about 1300 to 1500 rpm but not so bad that you can't live with it. A friend of mine has an old mustang with superturbos and his resonance is a lot worse but his is an automatic and lives in that range longer than my 4 speed. Before you spend the money on the superturbos find out how long people have had them before the internals rusted out. In the long run the ultraflows may be cheaper. JMHO
