Got an idea of buying a donor camaro with tpi and 5 speed to get the 2 things I want. Now I need info or websites to identify the best year to look. Guessing I want a tpi with MAP and a world class t-5, both which I believe where available on the IROC at the same time but unsure of what year/years.

Do you have MAP or MAS, looks like MAP. After doing to some reading on that website looks like the MAS might not be a bad idea, all though the MAS looks a little simplier. I am planning on getting a holley commander 950 to control it since I do not want to get a new chip everytime I want to play with new parts.

I run a MAP system with no problems. Still working on cold air intake idea, but my current system does not lose to much hp to heat. I do feel that a MAF system is more responsive to cam duration, ie does not die at idle with a 5 speed. I run a VSS sensor that sends a signal to the ECM that tells the ECM the car is stopped and not rolling. Just an extra sensor to help the ECM know how to feed fuel.

Thanks for the input guys. If I can find a decent IROC I'll take get the TPI and 5 speed then I can use it for a 1/4 mile beater. :)
