ZZ4 crate motor install in a '73......
I am about to buy this crate engine and was just wondering on how easy the installation is and how so you guys like it? Is it worth the expense and about how much money is it going to take to get it in? Thanks for the help.

I'm in the process of putting one in my 80.
did notice and corrected the timing cover bolt. I tried to put the stock water pump on but the timing cover bolt was to long so I had to file it down. the timing cover bolt is a special bolt so you can't just replace it with another bolt. it has block off plates for the egr and choke coil. I plan not using the EGR, I was told that it has enough over lap that it wasn't nessary. I don't have smog inspection either so that 's that's. I had to paint mine orange. I'll see if I can find some pics.
tom :jester
forgot it only cost me $3650.00

Lots o fun! It's hard to contain yourself during the breakin period...mine wanted to spin tire at every stop light! :yesnod:
I had a shop install mine since I'm basically dumb when it comes to engines! :yesnod:
