how do U drop the steering column on a 77
My 2 tech manuals are no darn help. Got the ecklers plexiglass light covers for my shark nut cant put them on untill the light switch is fixed.

From what I understand you unbolt the two bolts on the floor around the column to get that plate to drop, remove the little column cover under the colum (1 screw is all I think), remove the two large bolts under the dash. Should drop, but you may also need to loosen the rag joint (mark it before you do anything so the wheel lines up right again)

Definatley not original. It's blue purple / royal purple (depends on the angle of view). I got it that way (was originally war bonnett yellow :U ) I didn't like it at first but it's starting to grow on me...

The definition of drop is what is up in the air. I think mine only dropped 2 - 3 inches.
