REpainting my 78 vette
would it hurt the value or what the vette is if i did some body work and primed it and then painted it red over the sliver anaverery i wanted to restore the paint exact but i love RED but i dont want to mess with something that is going to hurt that value of the car or "what the car is" ..... any imput on this....

It's your car and you should do what you want to it. In terms of value, that's very debatable and will depend on what type of buyer you have when you go to sell it. If it's done right and looks good/runs good, etc., paint it what you want and enjoy it.
There were 15283 of them that color in 78. Not exactly rare!

Re: REpainting my 78 vette
its nto going to ever be sold so i should just do what makes me happy i guess :) ive decided im going to keep the vette as long as i can and do a thing about passing it down to my son/orlittle girl when that time happens on his or her 18 bday, "hoping for little boy" some time down the road hahaha

As said before, do what makes you happy, especialy if your not planning on selling it.
Mine was originaly Mediam Saddle, but mine is red now. I don't think it hurts value too much unless it is a very rare production # (i.e. Steel Cities Grey, Sunflower Yellow)
