Default Head light door vacuem

If I shut off the engine before shutting off the head lights on my 81 Vette , my head light doors stay up, do I have a vacuem leak or is this normal. Dont remember this happening on my old 68 or 72 Vettes.

on my 81 they will still close, once. you probly do have a little leak, or maybe your diaphrams are bad. :steering: but if you mean you just shut off your vette and they stay up without shutting off the switch, then your fine

Could be a leak at the check valve, which, if you follow the vacuum hose off the intake manifold port past a white filter, is a grey 1 into 2 piece. If it hasn't been replaced, may as well do it. Could be a leak in any line coming from that, or tank too. Probably valve or hose at valve.
