my dirty, dirty 'vette...
How do I clean 30 years or crap/smoke/sludge off the inner t-roofs? I scrubbed away with some Tuff Stuff brand foaming cleaner but it's still a mess. Is it possible to scrub away the color? Any advice on some good cleaners that won't eat my interior?

I know Greased Lightening is some damn good cleaner, but I know you can't use it on counter tops. Read the label. It is a good all-purpose cleaner but it may not like certain thing. Make sure you dilute it too.

Some of this stuff will remove paint so be careful if you use it full strength. It will also make the top layer of your skin peel on your hands. Ask me how I know. Not painful just kinda like dry skin.

I'ts possible that someone before you has vinyl painted the panels right over dirt smoke film etc. Try some mineral spirits first to see if you can remove the bulk of the crud first

Simple Green automotive cleaner and degreaser, will clean anything without harming the paint. Cleaned up a vette my buddy bought that had been outside for 4 years like nothing, and it was covered in crap and tree sap. He was so impressed he bought a gallon just to keep handy. Just wet the area you'll be cleaning with water first.
