Touch-up paint for these vintage cars?
My car has a few very small nicks in rather unobtrusive places. Nevertheless, I'd like to touch them up.
I assume this is not an item I can get from my local Chevy dealership. :p:
Any help would be appreciated.
<---needing a little bit of Monza Red. :)

Even if the original color was available from Chevy it would probably not match due to the effects of time and weather on your car. You would be better off going to a good body shop where he may be able to mix some paint to match your car as it is now. But there may be a problem with minimum amounts.

Wes, I had the same problem with my '68. When I had the hood repainted, the body shop used a computer matching system to read the color components, but the cost was kinda high for a touchup at around $75 plus the paint.
The next time I needed paint, I went to an auto parts store and bought two bottles of touchup paint. One silver that was a little lighter than my car, and one that was much darker. I then experimented with mixing the two until the dried color matched my car perfectly. Not too bad for about a $10 investment.

You can get almost any touch up paint you want in the original factory color from PaintScratch.com, that's where I got the touch up paint for my orange '77.
