looked at a "been in the barn 20 yrs" car turned out to be 1 of 240
went yesterday to look at a 72 coupe "no motor" car , walked in and knew right away it wasn't for me. The guy had told me it needed a motor and maybe a brake job and it would be driveable (he was asking 3000 for it) , well that might be understating the facts a little bit , it actually had been outside the barn for twenty yrs , so you can imagine it needed a total restoration. The only thing that made this car exciting was the guy hadn't mentioned it was an LT1 with air car , 1 of 240 built , he said he would take $2500 , if any one want's his number I've got it.

ok , you did see the words " total restoraion" in my above post , someone had put sidepipes on the car and that was the only thing that kept it off the ground , orig color sunflower yellow , drv door had been replaced , had sm block hood , very rough paint and interior , missing back window. There, having said that , the guys name is tony 901-289-6860 hm. I don't have his bus number but it was performance carpet cleaning in olive branch , MS (suburb of memphis).

Ouch. $2500 sounds a bit steep for a car in that kind of shape.
