My 79 seat backs are covered with carpet to mactch the floor. Looks like it is glued on. Is this original? Seat color is oyster.

I'm pretty sure that's orignal. My 79 has the same thing, with carpet on the seat backs and oyster seats. What is the color carpet that you have in your car? Just wondering.

The original is carpet with a vinyl edge glued to the seat back with a staple near each corner.

carpet color is silver or grey. pretty much the same color as the exterior car color.
As I look thru all the Corvette supplier catalog I see no mention of replacement carpet pieces for the seat backs. Do you know who makes them?

79 Midnight Blue L82

The pieces for the backs of my seats came with the carpet kit which I ordered from Mid America. My interior is "doeskin" and I have a couple of these seatback pieces which are new if that would help you any. I thought they had not put them in my kit and pestered them until they sent me 2 more pieces - then I found the first set also :eek: Didn't have the nerve to send them back after griping at them for a month to get the replacements. Let me know if this might be the color you are after and have a need for them.
