Default Best headers?

This question may have already been asked a few time...but here goes. What are the best headers that a guy can buy on a budget? I dont think i want hedman because ive heard you have to do a modificaltion to one of the primaries to get them to fit.

Peter

Assuming a SB in your 79, get Dynomax coated- about $200.

Anyone wanting the Hedman for air tubes should not worry about the minor adjustment for fit.

I have the Hedman thermal coated on my '77 4 speed and they fit no problem at all, just have to remove the clutch linkage to get them in, but that doesn't take long. They go for $260 in Jeg's and I love mine :yesnod:

Whatever brand you choose, get the heat coating if you can afford it. Lower underhood temps and they look MUCH better cuz paint on headers just doesn't last. I'm gonna get the ones on my Vette coated whenever the heads come off. The headers on my other toy are coated & are well worth the $.

Dynomax ceramic coated have served me well so far. Good price for a decent product. They fit good and dont hang down underneath with my 350.
