Default tpi air intake almost done(thanks70 LS-1)

Through the help of 70 LS-1 i was able to make my air intake better then what i had.
I picked up a 2000 c5 air bridge from bamagolfer on the c5 side,he sent this to me free of charge and he paid for shipping too, this is what this forum is all about,im waiting for my vortex air filter from another forum member and when that arrives ill finish welding the rad support back together.
Ill attach a rubber coupler to the air bridge and bring it down to the lower grill section and mount the vortex air filter for nice fresh cool air.Heres a few pics so far.

That is very cool Pat. That's one of the things I'll be interested in achieving when I go to TPI is a location for some fresh cool air intake :yesnod: . Let us know how it works out ;) .

Looks good Pat. Glad I could help. What are you going to use for an air filter?

Sounds good. I am using a K&N that I also picked up from the C5 forum. It is amazing what good deals you can get on stock parts around here. My fuel rail covers also came from a guy off the forum. I think I paid less than half of new including shipping. They are always helpful when I ask a technical LS1 question, too.

I think those pictures clintch it. Since I am still running a clutch fan on my motor I am going to run with a Speed Density system and not a Mass Air system. I think that the packaging might be a bit more difficult with a fan spinning there.
