My wife wants to purchase this for my Christmas present...are they reliable and able to keep water out?.......Will they fly off at speeds above 70 MPH?........Do they look good on the car?......Thanks for any replies..... :seeya Cappy

I have a pair and have used them once on my '81. Yes, they are reliable. They fit nicely and don't compromise the car's appearance. However, from my experience, they do not keep rain/wind out at highway speeds. They work fine at speeds under 50 mph. My tops are over 8 years old. Perhaps they've improved the design.

I have them and I've had mine on at speeds in excess of 120mph and the velcro came loose at about that speed.

Mine had a tendency to bulge up but that could be caused by the lack of weatherstripping in the car, I fixed it by having an extra pair of straps sewn on to go around the T-bar.

Thanks for replies guys.....It appears these are working well for you......Since I also race this car....this top should help reduce some of the weight....The glass T-tops weigh a lot. I'm currently going through the traps a 112 MPH....I'll use your idea and add extra straps under the T-Bars....also use black duct tape (during drag racing)....along the front edges so wind don't get under them. If you look at C-3 parts for sale...someone has a rain coat top for $140.00.....Looks like a good deal compared to $240.00 at MAD....... :seeya Cappy
