Will a 350 trans off a six cylinder chevy engine fit on a 350 Chevy engine?

If your talking about a 90 degree V6 then I'd say yes (I think but I could be wrong). A 90 degree V6 is just a Chevy V8 with two missing cylinders.

All Th350's had the same bell bolt pattern. My question is: In the late 70's chevy/GM switched to TM200's and I think TM250's. When in doubt about what GM tranny you have just look at the pan gasket. Every tranny is different.

There are basically two different bellhousing bolt patterns for the th 350 and th200 series transmissions. There is the Chevy bolt pattern which covers 90 chevy 6's, small blocks and big blocks. Then there is the BOP (Buick Olds Pontiac) which covers all of the other corprate motors. Then if your really lucky you'll be able to find a universal case which will wok with all four types.
