Having Special license plates made..?
I know there is a guy (out west I think) that will make your current license plate number using a past plate format. I want to have mine made using 1978, anyone know of this guy? I had his contact info a one time but lost it. :rolleyes:

I think that being it is over 25yrs now that in NY you can get historic plates if that's what you mean. Or you talking about the Yellow with Blue letters that was around in 78?

Yep, thats it.. I had the guys name and number that would make your current plate using that format from 1978. He purchased all the die's from each state as they were replaced with new ones.

I remember seeing a post about him here on the forum. You may want to try a search of the archives. Believe that he was in the Lubbock TX area.
