Ordered my TransGO Kit today.
Hopefully it will make a difference in the car. I am dying to get a stick car but since I can't this will have to do. Anyone use these kits and how do you like them?

I had mine put in two weeks before winter storage in October. Pretty impressive. Very sharp shifts. But as you can see my kit is not for chirping tires.

Thanks Paul.
Since I can't swing a C5 and the 80 is not selling I am going to try to make the 80 run better.

I installed mine two weeks ago.,What a huge difference...I set mine to neck sanpper and it does that for sure....I had a very sluggish 1-2 shift and it certainly cleared that up...It will bark a mean second and chirp a third :reddevil

I heard these kits are really good. HAs anyone installed one in a OD tranny? I just bought a B&M shift kit for my 200-4R adn am waiting to install it, but several people have told me that it won't help my tranny much. So I might be wasting my time :smash:

I put one in the 700R4 I used to have in my car, and recently installed a Reprogramming kit in my 4L80E. They are definitely worth it, and besides improving the shift quality, they also address weaknesses and design deficiencies - which is something most other brands kits do not do, such as B&M. However, since most Transgo kits are intended for installation by professional technicans, the instructions are written with the assumption that the installer has a better understanding of how automatics work and are therefore not as detailed as some of the consumer oriented "shift improvement" kits.

I want to get my 700R4 to shift better than now, but don't want to spend a few hundred $$ in labor if someone brighter than a bubba could do it.

Sure, anyone can install it, you just need to pay closer attention to the instructions. An ATSM manual for your tranny is nice to have. Transgo tech support is pretty good, don't hesitate to call and ask a question if you're not clear on something. I'm certainly no expert and I've had success each time I've installed one.
