Dear Santa, ive been pretty good this year...

seriously though i just need gaskets right? can the weather starting to get cold make the gaskets shrink/expand? ive ran the engine at least once a week since its been in storage.

Get the Moroso Gaskets they sell. Most Winston Cup cars run them. I have never had a leak since with them.

BTW my friends 00 C5 is also Prowler Orange

I have Fel-Pro gaskets and work great.
If you use synthetic oil remember to use rubber gaskets instead or cork.

With aluminum covers you do not use gaskets. Permatex 2 RTV does the job.

Some of those GMPP covers leak (porous). I have them too. It can be cured by a nice coat of glyptal or some paint on the outside. For 220+ $ they should be able to make leak free covers :(

I just suckered for the looks.

I have'n't tried mine yet, I may just coat them w/ glyptal to be safe. Some others reported the leaking and it wasn't the 1st time I heard it. Maybe they were just unlucky or they were poor cstings. don't know.

I'm sort of forced to these because I need tall covers w/ an angled top, it was either these or fabricated ones.
