There are a bunch of online vendors such as:
http://store.yahoo.com/zipproducts/ http://www.yankeelady.com/willcox/ http://www.tld-corvette.com/ http://www.ecklers.com/default.asp? http://www.riksvet.com/ http://www.jegs.com/ http://www.sdpc2000.com/cart.asp?act...tart&catid=497 http://www.{Non-supporting vendor}.com/restoration_parts/index.cfm

well, to answer your question, it depends on what part. I gather you have a 76. You can get a lot of parts at the Chevy dealer but I have found it really helps to have a part number. Of course, many parts for your 76 are no longer available from GM. My guys arent too good at looking up parts for my 68, but if I have a part number they can immediately check availability. They are plugged into a nationwide database and can get most things in a few days. No shipping charge, so for certain small items it is cheaper to buy from the dealer than to get a great discount price (+ handling + shipping) from somewhere else. As for autozone/ pep boys I would feel comfortable buying oil, oil filters, air filters, antifreeze, thermostats (from Autozone)....... MAYBE shocks...... but not much else. :) MJ

I strongly recommend getting a parts book. Swap meets are a good place to look. The last one I saw was on sale for $ 50.00, I paid $5.00 for mine 7 or 8 years ago. The book is definately worth having, as well as parts it has illustrations also. My advice is ALWAYS check the dealer first ( with part no's if possible ). 6 months ago I bought a new fuel tank from the dealer for my 73. I've been pleasantly surprised many times from the dealer. ( with part numbers )

I've always used Zip Products. Professional sales people and quick shipping. Good luck!
