Default Expansion tank blues - advice needed....

Yikes - my tank is 'defective'..... I tried sealing the heater hose outlet -but now it's dripping. :cuss :mad
It's off a mid-year vette and has only 1 outlet.
Since my heater doesn't work - I'm thinking of connecting the outlet to my water pump. Then plug my intake inlet for the heater hose.

In the meantime - I'm searching for a new expansion tank - the long, brass type - so it'll be correctly installed on the fender well as the factory did on A/C cars. Any tips or recommendations would be helpful.

Can't weld it? Or take the broken fitting off and sink a threaded fitting in with an o-ring?

Verskel,
I have a long Brass exp tank that I will soon be replacing with an Alum tank. Make me a reasonable offer and its yours.

Will, if he don't want, I sure do! Mine's got a nasty looking weld job & I've been wanting to replace it.
