Turbos, tires, and traction
I came across this article on the Hot Rod website. There's some interesting results of tire testing that might interest some people.

I read that article several months ago, and yes, it is full of great tech info. :)
And while I would not dispute the points he makes on supercharging vs. turbocharging, the facts are that if you cam the engine properly, supercharging can make insane bottom-end, mid-range and top-end HP.
Remember, at low speeds you only want as much TQ to the wheels as you can handle.
It's all about how fast you want to go. :) Both ways will get you there.
My pie-in-the-sky dream would be to convert my BB to fuel injection and run a centrifugal blower on it.
