Here's one that I am hoping someone out there can help me with. I am in the process of installing seats in my 73. The 2 inboard aft bolts were broken off in the steel plate that is riveted to the underside of the floor so I removed the plates and drilled out the broken bolts. While I was there I noticed that there was nothing to bolt the outboard aft seat bolts in to??? It does not appear to have rivet holes where a plate once was so what is supposed to be there? I will likely drill and tap a plate similar to the inboard mount but I was curious what is supposed to be there. I can't seem to find a picture in the AIM but maybe I am missing it. Anybody out there run in to this before?

The seats (for whatever reason) have three nuts attached to the body and the forth is just a nut and washer under the body.

If I remember right, I think the bolt goes through the frame or at least supporting material.

The rear outer bolt attaches to the same part of the bird cage that the seat belt guides bolt to. Is yours rusted away? I had to make new ones when I made new sills for the bird cage.

I'm with Racer - should be a nut in the seatbelt reinforcement plate.
I think repairing it with a small plate (like the inside one) would be OK.
