Default question 1 - body mounts

i have the body off right now and when counting the shims i noticed l have 1/2 thick or so metal spacers or mounts...no rubber mounts...is this stock? should i stay with it this way....i have no problems with flex or drive comfort or noise.....suggestions :chevy

Rubber body mounts started in '73. You can retrofit the 73-up rubber mounts and will lower noise and increase ride comfort. But if you are happy with how the car rides and drives with the solid mounts, why change?
