Alternator positive pole rubber boot
The rubber boot that fits over the positive pole on the back of my alternator needs replacing. Where can I find a replacement?

Unless you are trying to maintain components as "Corvette correct", you might start with a salvage yard, and then with an auto-electric (alternator repair) shop.

I got a new one a few years ago, from one of the popular catalog suppliers, I believe The Last Detail.

Ecklers has it.
You might want to save up for a bigger order because the inxpensive boot will cost a lot when you factor in shipping.
Also, think I've seen them in the regular auto parts stores, around the section that has misc. hardware, window cranks, headlight rings, etc. I think the co. is called "Motor"

Re: Alternator positive pole rubber boot (shoptek)
Shoptek,
Thanks for your reply. I was hoping to find it locally since the shipping charges do not justify the purchase.
