Default Edelbrock 600-cfm carb rebuild

Well, I bought a used Edelbrock 600-cfm Manual choke carb from a forum member and the rebuild kit. Going to rebuild my first carb. Any suggestions? Looks llike a lot of very small pieces!

The Edelbrock will allow me to use a 2" tall element and hopfully, clear my hood!

The Edelbrock carb is a copy of the Carter AFB, one of the easiest carbs to rebuild out there. Must be since it was the first carb I ever rebuilt and I was 14 years old. I think they are good carbs and easy to tune and work on.
I considering buying a 725CFM Edelbrock for my ZZ4.
Good Luck!

Any other tips? Does anyone know of a website with a good walk through? The instructions with the rebuild kit are very generic.

ACK! Just dig in. :yesnod:

Yea I know, that's easy for ME to say, right??? Here's the advice: work in a clean area. If you are on your shop bench work on a good sized towel/rag. What that does is provide you with better visibility for those small parts. Also and more importantly, it will keep those small parts from rolling away!

You cannot "prepare" well for carb work. Just learn as you go. And the carb you have there is a good one to work on. Good Luck.
