Default Keith Black Pistons

I'm getting close to assemblying my killer 383. I still need to pick up a few items, of which a set of KB's is one of them. I know I can get a set for around $250 from Summit and JEG.

Does anybody know where I can get a set cheaper than that?

I'm looking for PN KB-135(i think it's the 135's)
it's the 18cc dish piston with the 5/64 rings and the 1.46 hieghth.

Love to hear from anybody on this.

Yeah, i know. I have found lot's of good deals, however, i have yet to find a set though.

I got set of sportsmanII heads, bare, never used, $230 for the pair and a set of 1.5 crane cams roller rockers for 80.

No pistons though.

I can't help you but are you going with the dish piston to keep the CR ratio at around 10:1 with the iron heads ? I know KB flat tops are about 11:1 with the stroker kits and 64cc heads.

Yeah, I have the 64cc heads plus i have milled the deck to 9.05. With the 18cc pistons i will be in the 9.8 area.

The KB pistons are made by Silv-o-lite, they also have claimer pistons, they're cheaper (cast valvereliefs instead of machined)

Got a set I`m not using.Kb 18cc for 5.7 rod,3.75 stroke,30 over. These have the 1/16 top ring.I ran them for a few miles[2000] when I first built my 383.I changed to the 12cc to get 10.3.If you can use them just pay for the shipping and they are yours. :chevy
