Default Rare Collection, Special Visit, Deliveries 5-20-17 throwback Vettes Mike@Criswell

~Wednesday I was told at 3pm by Kevin Szot the General Manager that I was to have a special visitor around 5pm. This visitor asked that I wait for him as he really wanted to speak with me. So in walks Dan Adamcheck, Chevrolet's Director of Sales, Service and Marketing for 12 States. He had said that Chevrolet has never received so many positive letters and that he was advised by Mary Barra, Chief Executive Officer of General Motors to pay me a visit and personally Thank me for all that I do for not only the Corvette Brand but for all of Chevrolet. Certainly nice to be recognized.

View the whole story with 3 minute video on this Corvetteblogger article link...or view it on my Corvette Furman Facebook page.

http://www.corvetteblogger.com/2017/...gm-management/

~Mario O. Of Mission Viejo, California first called me a couple of weeks ago and picked out one of our last Sterling Blue Metallic 2017 Corvette Grand Sport Cpes. This GS has Auto trans, Navigation with PDR, 2LT Pkg and Gray interior with the standard Grand Sport wheels. This color combo is perfect and it will be very rare since you can't order Sterling Blue Metallic anymore. All filled with gas and polished and en route to California via Plycar Trucking.

~I had 7 off site drop ship deliveries all over the country this week and several Museum deliveries. Once I get pictures from the following I will post them up. Congrats to Gene O. from Hebron, KY, Lloyd K. of Gallatin, TN, James S of Carmel, Indiana, John D. from Cleveland, Ohio, Bob S. of Portland, Oregon, Sarah F from Vail, Colorado and Shirley M. of Dayton, Ohio.

Some other deliveries that left the launch pad this week. Yes I deliver non Corvettes too!

~Richard G. Of Potomac, MD Is known around Criswell as Mr 3,000...back in Winter of 2013/2014 Richard took delivery of his Limerock Green Convt that he factory ordered from me and as it turns out...his Corvette was my 3,000th Corvette delivery. Now I'm closing in on #4,000! Richard was in for his yearly oil change as he only has 3,300 miles on it! There is no way he is ever letting go of this Stingray, it matches his 74 restored Jaguar perfectly.

~Mike H. From Harrisburg, PA is better known as Streetspeed717 on YouTube. When Mike bought his Z06 from me last year he had 69,000 subscribers...since buying his Z06 he now has 450,000 subscribers on YouTube. I invited Mike down Friday morning on my day off to drive the Callaway 757hp Aerowagen that is on loan from Callaway for a couple of days. We also went to my house and I took him for a ride in my 1967 Marina Blue Corvette Cpe. Keep an eye out on his Youtube channel for both videos!! Mike has a deposit for a 2018 ZR1 with me.

~Saturday 5/19/17...The 2nd Annual Stingrayforums wax and chat at Norm and Cathy's home in Milford, Delaware today. We met at Norms and did a lot of chatting but no waxing! Then we caravaned over to Rick and Linda's garage in Dover, Delaware to view the largest Corvette memorabilia collection in the World...before heading back to Norms for lunch!! A great time was had by all. Corvette's came in from Massachusetts, Texas, Pa, MD, WVA, Ohio, VA and Delaware!
Check out all the video's and pics on my Corvette Furman Facebook page...Simply amazing! Both couples were gracious hosts and I can't wait to return for another visit. Rick and Linda's collection has over 25,000 pieces!!

~Throwbacks.....

~Another week in the books...Save the wave!

Mike you are a great ambassador for the Corvette brand. Although I no longer own a Corvette and made the leap to Porsche years ago, every Sunday, I read your delivery report. People in car sales should emulate what they see from you. You are a genuine enthusiast and a true professional.

Continued success, you're the best.

Congratulations on the recognition from Mary Barra. I have no doubt that GM receives a ton of letters with regard to your service to the Corvette community. Brands are built, first and foremost, person to person. Keep up the great work!!!

You've shown us pictures in the past of Rick + Lindas Corvette garage. I find 25,000 Corvette items mind boggling. Is there museum open to the public? I would love to see their collection.

Mike I look forward to these threads every Sunday. Congrats on the recognition, and all you do for the community. I loved the StreetSpeed717 video and how you did that on your day off (and sold a few cars!)

That is Rick and Linda's private collection. It was very gracious of them to allow all of us in his building.
