Re: New Heads - Trick Flow (Black68Vette)
I'm not sure what I'll do with them yet. I have the original motor that came out of my car that , I might put them back on it. Rick

What cc did you get? With enough cam and aluminum heads 10.5+ c/r is no problem on 92 octane if you also keep the piston quench down to low to mid .040

You really have to know the piston to deck and amount of cc for the valve reliefs. Mine are -.006 and 6 cc with JE flat tops with the thermal ceramic piston top coating . .038 crushed value on the Felpro copper ring for aluminum heads. polished out relifed chambers with ceramic coating came in at 64 cc and i ended up with 10.87

Re: New Heads - Trick Flow (gkull)
With thermal coatings and correct advance courve. Mid 11 is no problem. I have not been able to get mine to ping. I don't know if trick heads are considered high swirl but you might need to get down to 32 or so degrees total advance.
Another consideration is go with angle plugs and 2.055 intakes. At some point get rid of the hydro cam!
