Which throwout bearing should my car have?
I have recently replaced my engine, and while I was at it, I replaced the clutch disk, pressure plate, and throwout bearing.
After putting it all back together, the clutch made some grinding noises when the pedal was pushed in only SOME of the time. I posted a topic here about this, and it seems to be the conclusion that I would need to pull the tranny to check out my throwout bearing to see if I got the right one. Someone said that I probably put a "short" one in, and I need a "long" one.
Well, I pulled the tranny and the bearing that I put in there measures 1-1/4". Is this the right one? It's an L82, does that make a difference????? I'm so lost here....

Maybe this will help. I used a Centerforce # N1716 and it worked great. I guess you can go to their web site and maybe get the spec's on this.
