to get my lights on the dash i turn **** to right and it comes on and the fuel gauges ect. turn off..turn back and gauges on, lights off..how did u fix it??

I had a bunch of problems... first i had dash lights but the center gauges would die, turn off the light, gauges come back on... then i lost all light... I ordered a headlight switch and printed circuit board. Both were very easy to replace and while i was in there, i took some steel wool and cleaned up the contacts.
After it was dark out I turned on the lights and the whole dash lit up... and the gauges didn't die!!
If you're having problems with the center console in a '78+ (I know for sure have that stupid circuit board paper in it) most likely that's your problem...
