Default Dead Gauges

JUst finished restoring my interior.. looks great.. I did remove protions of the dash .. but left all wiring harnesses intact.....

Take the car out and the water temp and fule gages are dead.... fuse appears to be ok.... so any ideas on what might cuase this specific failure? Before I start ripping the dash apart I want a good game plan.. I figure that there is a loose wire connection somewhere...... Thanks.

If more than one are dead, it must be the main cable that plugs into the back of the console.

As mentioned above, I believe its the main plug at the back of the console is not making good contact. With the engine running, reach back there and give it a little wiggle. I bet they'll jump back to life.
