Default Does lift affect idle/emissions?

I've been told by most people(and would like to believe) that lift does not affect idle. However, a few sources have told me it does. Is this true?
Thanks in advance.

Default Re: Does lift affect idle/emissions? (Pacin'California)

I think this goes back to the duration issue. I won't go there, I know that some believe higher lift also increase duration (very slightly) which would effect idle (again very slightly). For the most part I would say it has no effect. I don't believe that the increased flow will effect idle much.

As for emission I have no idea.
