Default No back-up lights for safety inspection.

Here in VA we have an annual inspection (to include safety inspection) and it's coming up soon for my car.

I have replaced my stock tail lights with bubble lights and was wondering:

Has anyone who has these safety inspections had any problems with no back up lights?

Has anyone figured out a good alternative for the stock back up lights? I was thinking a couple on either side of the license plate (like later models) would be nice, but can't figure out how to do it.

When it is time for the inspection, why don't you just put the inner stock lenses in to get the sticker. Then take it home and but the bubble lenses back on

Jerry,

If you need a set of back-up lenses just let me know. I have an extra set.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

And THANKS for the offer Larry.

But, I do have my original lights (all four) and was figuring on putting the original back up lights back on if it fails with the bubbles.

I was just wondering if there was any good back up light alternative for the C3s.

Every year I replace my bubble lenses with the originals, get inspected and then put the bubble lenses back on.

Jerry

You need to find out the law in your state. No problems passing w/o.

... i asked the garage if put a set of lights
next to the rear plate would it pass and they said no, they would
be lic.plate lights not back-up lights......jbh
Not true.

Have thought about putting beside the lic. plate as some Corvettes have.
Put mine underneath & they reflect off the chrome tailpipe tips.
Are lightest wt. B/U s !
