Default I have a few questions (on engine mods)

What are the best things to do to an engine to boost performance?

My dad has a cam swap planned but I will want more power when I get the car, so I want to know the best things to do to an engine to boost performace.

Thanks in advance.

Exhaust. If possible, go with headers and true duals (no cat).

Don't mess with the engine unless you have years of experince, or will will have nothing but problems and wasted your money. The best thing to do is go to a speed shop you can trust and ask them to sell you a complete kit frome one manufature a "matched set" designed for your engine or simply buy a turn key crate engine this may be the cheapest in the long run.

Mike

No problem to increase power!

Ex.- http://www.corvettefaq.com/c3/ganeyexhaust.htm
Dynomax coated headers, 2 1/2 duals, crossover, Dynomax mufflers.
Performer or Weiand intake.
W/ 3.08/auto XE256 for more off the line low end.
Heads- Dart Iron Eagle.

Mike,
Ganey gave you some good advice there.

Build that engine with your Father. Then enjoy your creation!

IMO Crate motors need to be pulled apart to be checked-Ask around about the ZZ4's ect that have checked out of service early
