Drought restrictions in parts of Northern Jersey
Things are looking bad this spring and summer.
Drought restrictions are in effect already.
Lack of rain has never been this bad.
No washing of vehicles :cry among other restrictions.

Hi Joe,
Things aren't any better here either. We have been below normal rainfall for over a year now.
The whole world has gone crazy over the past 12 months!

Re: Drought restrictions in parts of Northern Jersey (69er)
We've had water restrictions here for a long time now, couple years that I can remember. If you're a big business you can waste all the water you want, but if you're a homeowner watch out. The county hired extra people to drive around at night to give people fines. We can however wash our cars as long as you have a spray handle that shuts off water flow when released. We can water our lawns one day a week but water is so expensive why bother, one day isn't going to help. Just drive up to the local do it yourself car wash.
You could always leave your 69 in my garage, I'll wash it for ya Joe :D

Somethings up Paul.
It was warm today.
Many warm days this winter.
We're like 10 inches down in rainfall since last summer.
i've read it's been a warmer winter up there by you too.

We're hurtin Gary.
Scott no washing of cars at all!
After a warning or two a $5000 fine.
I'm going to try the spring water gal bottle wash trick!
Yes 8-9 gallons leaving 3 or so sealed.:yesnod:

Joe,
I heard today that it would take five months of rain here in Maine to get water levels back to normal. No restrictions yet, but expect it to happen.
If you need spring water I can send some down, Poland Springs not far from here. Whats that song again?.... what it means to be from Maine... :jester

They're talking about voluntary restrictions down here too. I wonder if they'll mind me pumping up some river water from the backyard to wash the cars and stuff? :D I remember a few years when I lived in So. Calif when there were REALLY tight water restrictions. We'd collect the shower water in pots & pans and put it in the washer for the clothes. ~Juliet

Hey guys (and gals), this water restriction thing is getting pretty tough for sure. I have been using Ultra Mist or Mothers on the Vette, and it works
pretty well. That's considering that the Vette stays in the garage most of the
time, and doesn't see rain, snow or salt.
I usually run my daily drivers through a brushless car wash once every 2
weeks or so to keep them looking pretty. :D

Re: Drought restrictions in parts of Northern Jersey (Peter Bilella)
I'm with you Peter.....I haven't washed the vette in 4 years, use Meguiar's detail spray and lots of polish. The drivers go through the car wash.
Joe your problem is your vettes winter storage causes lots of dirt build-up and I know how you like to give it your personal touch when cleaning. Your driver probably wouldn't fit through a car wash. ;) soooo what's a guy to do.....midnight washes? :nono:
No restrictions in my town yet, we get our water from town wells. Hey maybe I could make a few bucks and have a car wash in my driveway!! :jester
