Default 1977 tranny upgrade

Have a friend who is considering upgrading his Turbo350 to a 4-speed auto like in my 91. What kind of changes does he need to make so it will fit? Also how much $$$ of a project is he looking at? :smash:

Default Re: 1977 tranny upgrade (kyvette)

Since he has the T-350 he can switch to the 200 4R with essentially no changes... true, the little stuff like the exhaust mount wont work and the starter lock out cable mount has to be severly bent and drilled but at the end of the day, its a bolt in. So far so good with mine... its a rebuilt unit from Bowtie Overdrives... The price for all the goodies a few months ago was about $1350... Just like everyone says... an overdrive tranny is the absolute number one upgrade for a C3 vette.
