Sad to sell..
but my dad has told me that I have to sell the vette. How much do you think I should ask/would get for this car? I don't want to sell, but college is coming up, and having 3 kids in college is hard for my parents I am sure. Its a 1979 L82 with a 3sp automatic. Black on Black. The seats are in excellent condition, but it needs..
new carpet, arm rests, and steering wheel. The rest of the stuff is in farely nice condition. The body is excelent, and needs no paint work except on the front nose. The engine has 170,xxx miles on it with true duals with Borla mufflers. It has an edelbrock intake manifold and is getting new wheel bearings for the front and rear as I'm typing this. The transmission is soon to be going out, but that will be fixed soon too. I would like to get atleast what I have put into it. What do yall say?

Re: Sad to sell.. (bryant080)
I would put this in the for sale section and see what the response is. Also is this car all original? Anything else been rebuilt? Motor? Got pics? Any other specs you can give helps in the determination of the worth. Just from what I see here I would say 7-8k at the most.

Re: Sad to sell.. (bryant080)
I was actually thinking of selling around 7000. Especially after I get the tranny rebuilt, and the suspensions stuff done too. Thanks for replying because I have alot better idea of how much to ask and so forth.

Sorry to hear about selling the car. :( But your Dad has the priorites right - college is more important than a Corvette. You can always get another one later. :) I have some links to some online for-sale placess and pricing guides on my webpage. They might help you with some pricing info. Good Luck.
