Any-one try "Engine Restorer"
They claim the following.
In normal driving, friction and wear cut scratches in the metal surfaces inside every car's engine. This causes compression and power loss and increases oil consumption as cars get older. Restore Engine Restorer fills these scratches and improves the seal between piston rings and cylinder walls. This means better compression and more balanced compression across all cylinders. Independent road tests prove Restore brings back power to near original levels.

I used it in my L48 before I had it rebuilt. It does actually work and the engine ran smoother and a little more power, but hardly noticable. The problem is it does not last too long, I think it wears off.

I tried some on an old camaro that I bought that burnt a quart every 200 miles. After I put it in it went to 300 miles to the quart, so I guess a 50% increase is good. After I did valve stem seals it went to 1500 miles to the quart with no plug fouling. The stuff is good but not magic.

I use to use it my Cutlass back when it had a high milage 403 in it. The stuff actually works pretty good. :yesnod: Doesn't cure everything, but it did make the engine run better. Had to add a new can about every other oil change - seems to wear off over time.
Sounds like snake oil, but this one really does work - at least on some problems - probably mostly with engine that have bad ring to cyl. wall sealing.

I think the stuff may work.
How's that for being noncommittal?
Honestly, I tried the stuff once, but noticed no real improvement. Better yet, I noticed no real degradation either.

My Dad used it years ago in his Cadillac, it worked great. He did have to put it in at almost every oil change though, it does wear off.

Since the can says to add at each oil change (I think), I would guess that it is not permanent.
Also, it's main ingredient is "CSL" which is copper, silver, lead. Don't know the import of that, but thought I would mention it!

I used it in a 429 CJ about 20 years ago. The engine was tired and needed new rings. It worked! Engine stopped smoking and ran smoother. I had to add a can about every month, but it worked until I had the money to rebuild the engine of my 1970 Torino Cobra, Shaker hood scoop, 4sp, 429 CJ.

I used it in my 74 Charger and it lived up to its name. Shortly after, I had to take it to an "Engine Restorer". I think this stuff is right next to "Muscles in a Bottle" at Wal-Mart. :jester :jester
