My little drag race video
I just got a capture card for my computer and did some recording of myself driving around one day. This was the old engine combo.

Pretty cool! I can't get a sense of how fast you were going, but I know the sound of a corvette engine purring when I hear it

Nice video. Next time adjust the rear view mirror down a little so we can see the expression on your eyes or face as she rocks on down the road.
Later,
Don

Aaron that is awesome. What stall were you running in that video?
I'm gonna have to find one of my computer geek buddies to record some footage of the big block whenever I get it in :).

Hey there I thought I recognized the scenery I was born and raised in Regina And used to belong to the club out there. Here is a pic of the 79 I used to drive back then.
May be you have seen it back in 95/96.
do you belong to the club. I saw some pics from your web site and it looks like you were driving in the buffalo days parade.

Re: My little drag race video (bence13_33)
Bence, that video I shot was with the old 350ci hydraulic cammed motor and the 3000 stall lockup converter from Hughes. The 4.11 gears really help too. Traction was actually pretty good there, other times it just smokes. Thank god for the six link. The highway has a real rough pebbley surface, so the tires had alot to grab onto.

Re: My little drag race video (Warp70)
Warp, the top end of third with the 4.11's is about 130mph and then I let off once I shifted into overdrive. I don't really feel comfortable going any faster than that.

its too bad but that car met it's maker when a f-150 pulled out from a curb and thew me into a tree on pasqua. But I got over it when sgi handed me a cheque for 12,000 and I set out to build another.
is Dwight still in the club with his 67, I remember on the way to Calgary in 93 or 94 we all pulled in for some gas and he droped a whole can of octane boost into his gas tank can and all. that was a first for me to see. anyhow give my reguards to the club and I will see you on the forum.
PS
now that I am in BC I dont know what I like better hairpins at 60 or good old Sask roads and 135 mph

Ha ha, I remember hearing the Dwight story  ! He sold the car in late 2000 to Gary Yorke in B.C.. He did a frame off on it.

OK, probably I didn´t get it right - how fast was the top speed in this video??
Very cool video! I think we will set up some this year too - new PC 1.8 Gig and Video software, but no knowledge yet :)
I once pressed my 77 at the german Hockenheim Formula 1 track to 260 km/h ( 162 mph) - Sh+t - no video!!!

I did a video once, many moons ago. Duck taped the video camera to the t-bar (t-tops off) Turnout out pretty good. Gonna have to do another one this year.
