Why are there holes in my front calipers?
I'm guessing that the previous owner punched holes in them to make a way of squirting the bolts with WD-40. They don't leek, and seem to work fine, do you think I should replace them?
Here's pics of the left one, at first glance I thought the rust ate through it
Thanks for the help guys!

If these "holes" are what I'm thinking, all they are is where the bolt hole for the caliper halves was machined. If you look closely, you can probably see some thread definition. I've seen this "hole" on a lot of calipers.

A caliper is made up of two halves bolted together. That is the end of the bolt used to put the 2 halves together. They did not drill a blind hole but drilled it all the way through.
