Is the rebuld using a quartz replacement difficult? Are the hands easy to remove without breaking them? :smash:
My inquiring mind would like to know the deatails

Thanks

Very easy to do. I cleaned my original clock movement and filed the points and it run fine for several days. During the installation by into the dash I broke the wire terminal off and destroyed the clock internal parts. Bought one from a junk yard and installed it. The hands easily pull off and push on. The hardest part was not bending off the tabs that hold the clock movement into the housing.

I did a quartz upgrade. Very explicit instructions with the kit. Go for it...it's a piece of cake!

Just did mine in my 79 a couple of weeks ago. Pretty easy fix.

Did mine. The hardest part is getting to the clock. It keeps perfect time now.

Thanks for the info, rebuild kit order goes in tomorrow, you guys convinced me.
Any clues as to where to get the BEST kit, or will the one from ZIP be OK?

Thanks again
