K&N air filter cleaning
The instructions did not say how long you're supposed to wait after rinsing it with water. If for it to dry completely, it could take all day. How long should you wait?

You're supposed to let it air dry, and yes, it takes a while. Usually and hour or so in the sun. I'm pretty sure they say don't use compressed air to blow them out, it could damage the filter material.

Completely dry is what I believe I've read too.
I'm not sure how you check for "completely dry" though (maybe color?).
I keep a paper element (in the K&N box) if I need to use the car when I'm cleaning/drying the K&N element.
Definitely no pressurized air or water. If it's not warm or sunny, I'd try a fan to speed up the drying process.
