Best way to install BBC in vette?
Ok guys, we are going to put my 454 motor in the car, and I have heard that you must install the motor with the bellhousing and trany attached? Is it possible to have the bellhousing and tranny in the car, Thats the way it is now, and put the engine in last with the pressure plate and clutch intalled on the motor? Thanks !!!

I have done it both ways. While I would recommend installing the tranny and engine together because I think it is easier, it is certainly possible to do it the other way. Just expect to spend some time lining things up. I think I ended up unbolting the tranny mount and jacking the tranny up a bit. Good luck.

Thanks for the input , I guess the motor should go in with the water pump in front!! Glad to hear that it can work either way.
